Looker Studio

Load a purchased dataset into a report.

How Looker Studio loads data

Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) attaches a report to a data source: Google Sheets, BigQuery, a file upload, or a connector. Built-in connectors do not send a Bearer token to a private API. Upload the CSV, or put the CSV in Google Sheets first and pick that sheet.

Connect

  1. Sign in to Looker Studio with your Google account and open Create → Report.
  2. Create new data source.
  3. File Upload (or Google Sheets if you imported the CSV there).
  4. If the CSV is not already in the order email, use your API key and dataset id from the catalog or confirmation email, for example B-026, to download https://data-marketplace-data.bakosbence.com/v1/data/B-026?format=csv in Excel or Power BI, with Authorization = Bearer mk_… and Anonymous sign-in, then save it as CSV.
  5. Drop the CSV. Wait until it finishes.
  6. Add to report.

Google’s file upload help lists size limits for this connector.

If it fails

  • Upload rejected — file too large, or not a CSV. Try one dataset, not /v1/data for every site.
  • Download errors — API errors.
