Bot defense
Bot defense is an audit, strategy, and implementation service that protects a website from scrapers that extract data and from malicious bots that automate interactions such as account abuse, form spam, or fake checkout.
The work starts from the outside: a black-box test of anti-scraping exposure, without needing access to server-side source code. Findings become a prioritized plan of bot rules and perimeter defenses, then implementation with the client's team or by Bakos Bence.
What you get
- Audit: a black-box test of how scrapers and abusive bots can reach, extract, or automate against the site today
- Strategy: prioritized fixes, bot rules, and perimeter defenses
- Implementation: executed with the client's developers, or by Bakos Bence
What the audit typically checks
- Public surfaces that leak structured data, APIs, or bulk listing endpoints
- Existing bot controls, WAF and CDN rules, rate limits, and challenge pages
- How easily a scraper can stay economical after a first block
- Automated abuse paths: login, signup, search, cart, and other high-value interactions
